Can you translate your vision?
Did you ever wonder what our eyes translate? No, it doesn't sound stupid you all think eyes only see things. But because we see with our eyes they create their own language. A language only the person himself can understand.
I'm walking in the city with the camera around my neck. While I'm walking I'm searching for a good photo, a good story to tell. And there it is, it doesn't look nice at first but it is perfect for the picture. I look through my camera. Searching for the right angle and looking at my settings. *click* the best sound in the world. I look quick at the result. No, that is not what I mean. I stand there for a couple of minutes untill I finally have the perfect photo. *click* That's it, that is exactly what I was looking for. Then my dad comes to me. He doesn't understand what I see in such an ugly street. But then I show him the result. He can't believe his eyes. That is the funny part, you see things with your eyes that other people don't see. A person seeing and sharing things. It takes a couple of minutes until your eyes finally speak the language captured.
This is the power of the photographer. He saw something and also saw a story. When he makes a picture of it this will also be your story. And the thing about photography is that you don't need to explain what is on the picture. Every person will make there own story off it. If you would ask 100 people to look at a picture and then afterwards write down what they saw, every story would be different. We will all make a story you know or what you relate to or saw.
Eyes are so powerful. Everytime I see a blind person I realise how important eyes are. I can't imagine my world without them. Why not? I love travelling, going to places see things I never saw before and then take a picture of it. A picture I can look at and remember the memory it has written down in the book of my story. A blind person will do the same, by smelling and listening very carefully.
I love taking pictures of the world and of the people and animals that live on it. But I don't make normal pictures, I make a picture art story.
